Wayfuel Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

Wayfuel is a road-trip fuel cost estimator. This policy explains, in plain English, what the app does with your data. The short version: nothing leaves your device except the addresses and coordinates needed to look up directions, gas prices, elevation, and weather - and none of it is stored on a server we control, sold, or linked to your identity.

What we collect

We don't operate any servers that store your data. Wayfuel runs entirely on your device. Specifically, we do not collect:

What leaves your device, and why

To estimate a trip, the app makes requests to the following services. Each request contains only what that service needs to answer; none of them receive your name or any persistent identifier from us.

Location access

If you tap the "use current location" button in the From field, the app asks your device for a one-time location fix and reverse-geocodes it to a street address using Apple's geocoder. Your location is not sent to any other service unless you then run a calculation that uses it as the starting point. You can deny or revoke location access at any time:

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following locally, in standard system storage, and never uploads it:

Removing the app removes all of this.

Children

Wayfuel is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. (Since the app collects no personal data from anyone, this is true by construction.)

Changes to this policy

If we change what the app does with data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
